The Empowerment Factory is happy to be hosting our 4th Annual Healthy Living Community Event (HLCE)! This year will be a bit different. Instead of a one day event we are hosting a month of virtual and in person activities that focus on the arts, wellness, literacy and the environment.
Sign up here to register https://forms.gle/icEZDPU8J3GEQVHz6
The first 100 children that register will get a goodie bag, given to them on the Scavenger Walk at the registration table. Everyone that registers will be entered to win our grand prize of a ChromeBook.
On October 17th, 11am – 2pm, ( rain date Oct. 18th 11am – 2pm) we are working with our community partners to offer a Baldwin Loop Scavenger Walk, a major component of this year’s HLCE, with 18 different stations, each with a QR code that takes you to a virtual activity. There will be mural painting, a sidewalk chalk exhibit and competition, and art activity kit giveaways along the way as well.
For each of the 18 stations you complete, your name will be entered once in our big prize drawing. Complete all 18 activities after initial registration and have your name entered up to 19 times. If you can not attend on the 17th, you can still participate. The Scavenger Walk will be open to entries from October 17th through October 24th. Winners will be announced on October 30th. Winners will be contacted by email, and can pick up their prizes at The Empowerment Factory.
After having 9 in person “Art in the Park” programs this summer, we are confident that we will be able to hold this outdoor event. All in person events will take place outside with safety protocol and social distancing.
If you would like to support this event, you can be a sponsor or purchase in kind donations in our Amazon Wish List.
